Baking a Chocolate Truffle Cake

Grease a 7-inch cake tin with butter and use a parchment paper to line your pan so that there is heat resistance.
In a bowl, take 1 cup of milk at room temperature. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar to it as powdered sugar is a much better option here than granulated sugar which does not easily melt down.
Add ½ cup of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon vinegar and ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence to the mixture. Mix the batter and then keep it aside for around 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, take the batter and mix thoroughly.
After mixing thoroughly, add 1 and a ½ cup of all-purpose flour or maida to the batter.
Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of baking soda to the batter. Keep mixing properly to ensure that there are no lumps.
To adjust the consistency, add 2 tablespoons of milk to the batter and mix well until the cake batter is ready.
Pour the batter into the cake tin.
Preheat the baking pan for about 10 minutes on medium flame.
Then put the cake tin inside the pan and close off the lid. Allow baking for about 55 minutes on low flame.
You can also bake the cake inside a preheated oven 180° C for about 35-40 minutes.
After the mentioned time, check if the cake is ready or not by inserting a toothpick in the centre of the cake.
The next step is to demould the cake and keep it aside.

Preparing the Ganache with the Help of Cake Classes
In another bowl, take 250 gms or 2 cups of chopped dark chocolate.
Add 125 gms or 1 cup of fresh cream and ½ teaspoon of butter to it.
After mixing the butter, keep the preparation aside for 5 minutes and then stir it well.
Once it is stirred well, keep it inside the fridge for about 10 minutes so that it sets nicely.
In the meanwhile, take the cake and trim the sponge from the top and cut the remaining part into three layers.
Keep this aside and take the ganache which is completely set by now and whisk it for 1-2 minutes.

Take one of the layers and spread sugar syrup well on its top.
Now, spread the ganache on its top and level it.
Next, add the second layer on the top of the first and repeat the whole process.
Keep repeating the process until all the three layers are attached. Cover the whole of the cake with ganache nicely and using a knife, level it well.
Allow the final product to set completely by placing it inside the fridge for about 25 minutes.
